Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide (MEHFPGP) and ACTH 4-10 analog developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences. Registered as a drug in Russia since 1994 for ischemic stroke and cognitive impairment. Retains neurotrophic and cognitive-enhancing effects without stimulating adrenal steroidogenesis.
